 Hello families, 

Today we did a teacher switcharoo.  A grade 2 teacher came and read her favourite story to us while Ms. Honig went to a grade 4 class and read them a story. 

We did read to self, read to partner and then we did our literacy centers. We wrote about the sunflower we drew yesterday. 

We had Music today, and we did the Down By The Bay song. After Music, we had DPA and we did a few movement breaks and finished off with Sonic Cosmic Kids Yoga. We also finished up our Sea Turtle Research booklets.

 Hello families, 

Today we did a guided drawing of a sunflower. We then labelled it. We listened to a book about sharks. We also did Heggerty. We did read to self and read to partner as well as literacy centers. 

We did Gym this afternoon and we played switch tag and we used foam and tennis rackets to pass objects to a partner.  In Science, we learned about plants, and watched a video about parts of a plant. 

In Math, we used cubes to help us do subtraction.

After snack, we had gym and we went outside to play outside and enjoy some spring weather. 

We did writing and we watched a video about plants.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner. We also did literacy centers. 

We drew a manatee and we will learn all about them next week. 

We had Gym and we used different rackets with different material to practice with. We had a fire drill today. 

We learned more about turtles. We learned about how their bodies are made and what specific parts do to help them survive. We did a guided drawing of a turtle and we labelled it too.

 Hello families, 

Today we did morning message and some Heggerty. We did our literacy centers after snack.  We wrote about our Tree Frogs too. 

We had Music and we did freeze dance and the Naughty Cat song. In Gym, we used different types of rackets and used bean bags, balls and scarves to practice. We learned about Sea Turtles in Science today.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner. We wrote about the guided drawing of the goat we did yesterday. We worked on writing about the details in our pictures. 

For Music, we did Hiding in the corners with my Friends game. After music, we did DPA and we did a chase game on the smartboard, and finished with some yoga. 

In Math, we did addition questions with a scale, and learned about equality by balancing the scale. 

In Science, we learned about predators and prey of sea turtles.

 Hello families, 

Today we did literacy centers and read to self.  We also did writing. During writing we drew a goat and labelled it, and then we will write about it tomorrow. 

We had Gym today and we played Pumpkin Smash. Ask your child how to play. 

For Math we learned about the equals and non equals signs.  We compared addition questions to each other to see if their answers were equal or not. 

For Science, we learned about what sea turtles eat. Ask your child about what they eat.

For science, we learned about a Sea Turtle and we focused on their Habitat today. 

In gym, we did volleyball games. We learned how to do a serve.

We started reading a book all about the brain.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner. We finished writing about the animals we drew and talked about their basic needs. We did literacy centers too. 

We had Music today and we played the Rain game. Ask your child about this game. We had Gym outside and we made it longer by staying out for recess too. We read a book called We are Kind, and it also has the Dene words written beneath the English ones.

We did a review of patterns and we looked for mistakes and fixed them in patterns.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner. We did our literacy centers including listening to a story and answering questions, putting a poem together and filling in the blanks, making our words of the week with playdough, making our words of the week with magnetic letters, stamping the words of the week, and doing guided reading. 

We did some Heggerty today, and then we read our weekly poem. 

Ms. Honig made mini-books and we started drawing and writing in them to show different non-fiction text features. 

After lunch, we had gym and then we came back to the classroom and we did Science. We drew a picture of an animal and showed where it gets its food, water and what shelter it lives in. Then we wrote about it. 

After recess, we had Math, and we did some measurement activities and compared different objects to see what is longer, shorter, or taller or shorter. We also used cubes to measure objects.

After math, we went to the library and got new books.

 Hello families, 

Today we did the morning message and our poem.  We did read to self and read to partner. 

We wrote about the flower bouquet we drew yesterday.  

We had Music and we did a music game.  Ask your child about it. We did DPA and we did a few movement breaks and then learned a mindful minute technique. 

For Math, we did measurement and used cube blocks to measure different lengths.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner, then we did guided drawing and labelled it for writing tomorrow. 

We had gym and we played volleyball and line tag. For Science, we listened to a story about non-living and living things, as well as needs of plants.

We learned about Jordan's Principle and how all children should have access to health care. For Math, we measured items at our tables with cubes.  We learned about height and length.

 Hello families, 

Today we did our read to self and read to partner routine.  We did our Morning Message and then we did our new poem. It is called Five Little Flowers.

After snack, we did our centers and then for Writing, we wrote about our favourite type of weather and the activities we like to do in that weather.

After lunch, we had Gym, and then we talked about our basic needs.  

After recess, we started learning about measurement using classroom items.  

We also talked about and made a list about the community helpers we find in Urban and Rural communities.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner. We did writing about our kite guided drawing that we did yesterday. 

In Music, we did the Green Jellybean song and a Mother's Day song. We had DPA after Music and we did a Turning Red movement break.  We finished the Cosmic Kids Cat yoga video today. 

We talked about what animals we see in Urban and Rural communities.  Ask your child what animals they know. We read a story called My Magic Breath. 

We did more addition questions with the number line today.

 Hello families, 

Today we did read to self and read to partner.  We did our literacy centers after this. For writing, we finished writing about Rural communities.  WE did some more Heggerty literacy programming. 

We drew a kite and labelled it for a guided drawing today, and we will use this as a writing prompt tomorrow.

We did DPA today and we did a few movement breaks and a Cosmic Kids Yoga about Cats.  

For Math, we did addition with a number line. We also talked about tattling versus telling.
