Hello families,
Today we asked who, what where, when, why, and how questions about an unfamiliar animal, tomorrow we will write about it. We did literacy centers and explored non-fiction text features including the table of contents, headings and glossary.
After lunch, we had Gym and we did an obstacle course. After Gym, we read part of a story for Social Studies called "We Dream Medicine Dreams" and it talks about the healing power of dreams. It also features Indigenous art. We also started learning about the differences and similarities between rural and urban communities.
In Math, we did an addition game called Addition Aliens on the smartboard. Ask your child about this game.

- Friday April 22: SPIRIT DAY - Wear Green and/or Blue day
- Wednesday April 27: SPIRIT DAY - Dress like you are Exploring Nature
- Friday April 22 - Friday April 29 Environmental week - please consider sending litterless lunches and finding alternative ways to get to school such as bikes and scooters if possible
- Tuesday April 26 - Last day to order school spirit wear
- Please send hats, mitts and warm clothes for your child the next few days as it will be cold out.
- Please send extra pants and socks for your child with the wet weather happening the next few days
