 Hello families, 

Today we did our morning meeting with colour of the day, words of the week and counting straws to see how many days we have been at school. 

We did read to self and read to partner, and then we read our poem and did some Heggerty. After snack, we did our centers and then we finished writing about what we want to be when we are grown up. 

After lunch we had Music and then we did some movement breaks for DPA and finished it off with Cosmic Kids yoga. 

After recess, we did some Science. We looked at our plants we planted yesterday and got to see some changes! Ask your student about what changed. 

We started an experiment last week where we put a seed in water, sugar, sand, loose soil, packed soil and in the dark to see if any grow.  Ask your child about the results.

Thursday June 16 - Please send back the Culture Week survey 

Friday June 17 - Grade 1 Immunizations for students whose parents requested them 

Please send students with appropriate clothing for school each day. With it being rainy, we still go outside for recesses. Rain jackets and rain boots if you have them would be appreciated.  A change of clothes for students especially pants and socks is recommended. 

Lastly: If you will NOT be at Northern Lights School, and you HAVE NOT yet told us, please send us an email.

Our planning for next year continues and having the most accurate number of students is essential.
